Lotus Elise

The Lotus Elise is a two seat, rear-wheel drive, mid-engined
roadster conceived in early 1994 and released in September 1996 by the English manufacturer Lotus Cars. The car has a hand-finished fibreglass body shell atop its bonded extruded aluminium chassis that provides a rigid platform for the suspension, while keeping weight and production costs to a minimum. The roadster is capable of speeds up to 240 km/h (150 mph). The Elise was named after Elisa, the granddaughter of Romano Artioli who was chairman of Lotus at the time of the car's launch.

A very powerful engine

Honda S2000 is a roadster manufactured by Japanese automaker Honda Motor Company. Launched in April 1999 and was created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the company. This car was first shown as a concept at the Tokyo Motor Show in 1995, following which was launched on the world market in 1999. S2000 is named for the engine displacement of 2 L, carrying on the tradition S500, S600, S800 roadsters and 1960s. Some revisions are made throughout the car, including changes to the engine, gearbox, suspension and interior and exterior. Official two variants exist: the initial launch of the model was coded chassis AP1, AP2 while the designation awarded to vehicles produced from mid 2003 onwards. Although similar cosmetics, AP2 included significant changes to the drivetrain and suspension. S2000 production stopped in June 2009.
