Porsche 911 GT1 is a car that was developed in 1996 for the Le Mans GT1-class racing. In order to qualify for GT racing, 25 homologation will be built as a requirement. This model was developed about 700 horsepower and 0-60 in 3.3 seconds. Top speed is 235 mph. Charged the same twin-engine turbo Porsche 962 has been, and car racing is the game for the McLaren F1 GTRs ran during that time. Re-developed version of the 911 GT1 race cars are built, and this model won the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Although this car is not really considered a real 911 (especially since the mid-mounted engine and built for homologation purposes) this is the most powerful and probably the fastest road-going Porsche ever built.
